Sabrina Higby - Enrolled Agent

Sabrina Higby's accounting career started at Sierra College in the fall of 1995. Her focus was Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy. During her attendance at Sierra College she also started her first job in the field of tax accounting at Rose & Rose in Loomis. Sabrina graduated with honors from Sierra College also receiving an award for Outstanding Accounting Student. She interviewed with and received a scholarship from the Accounting Advisory Committee and proceeded to CSU Sacramento to further her education in Accounting.

At CSU she continued to excel in the Accounting field graduating Magna Cum Laude and received the Academic Achievement Award from the Accountancy Department. Upon graduation from CSU Sabrina worked briefly with Arthur Andersen before returning to Rose & Rose. During her time at Rose & Rose she began meeting with clients and preparing tax returns on her own eventually becoming licensed as an enrolled agent. She was able to assist her clients with setting up QuickBooks and using the program to keep track of their day to day financial information. Sabrina also received her securities series 7 license and began work as a Registered Representative with Centaurus Financial, Inc.

In 2002 Sabrina became a part-time accounting instructor at Sierra College. As an instructor at the college she taught both Financial Accounting I and Computerized Accounting for Windows classes. The Computerized Accounting for Windows was a QuickBooks class in which she taught students to setup and use QuickBooks in a business environment. She found that her real life experience helped in many ways in both of the classes she taught. Sabrina really enjoyed teaching and found it very fulfilling but time consuming as well.

Due to the time commitment involved in teaching, she decided to end her teaching career at the end of 2007 to pursue another goal. This goal was fulfilled in October 2008 when she started her own tax practice "Higby Tax" in Loomis with the blessing and best wishes of her employer Rose & Rose.

Today Sabrina has over 600 clients for whom she provides income tax services, income tax planning, financial services, and QuickBooks assistance.
